The Dallas Mavericks and Portland Trail Blazers run it back after facing each other a few nights ago. We predicted that game would be high scoring and the point total reached 244. We should expect a similar track meet on Sunday night. Let’s take a look at the lines and make some picks.
Mavericks vs. Trail Blazers, 10:00 p.m. ET, NBA League Pass
Pick ATS: Blazers +2
Are we missing something here? The last game the Blazers took care of business at home and won by 6 points. Now they’re getting points at home in the same matchup? Neither side is really dealing with injuries. Sure, the Blazers could sit CJ McCollum to get a little bit of rest. Portland also spent two months playing without McCollum and did pretty well. So I’m going to take the team that’s solid at home and just beat this team the game before.
Player Prop: Maxi Kleber O1.5 3-Pointers (-155)
If you checked out the other picks piece for Lakers-Suns. Devin Booker O1.5 is at -139. If you want to craft some sort of prop parlay, Kleber and this line isn’t a bad idea. The Blazers clearly had trouble coming out to the line and defending the big man from outside in the first game. He hit 4-of-7 from downtown. In a high-paced game, Kleber should get the looks to reach the over here. The line itself screams safety.
