NBA DFS value plays under $5K for Tuesday, March 2nd

We go over some top bargain options under $5K on DraftKings for Tuesday’s main slate.

There’s a six-game slate on tap for Tuesday in the NBA with one game having been postponed — Detroit Pistons vs. Toronto Raptors. There are a few injury spots we’re going to have to wait and see on, but we can already plan out the value plays that will open up. The two big names are Jaylen Brown (knee) and Jimmy Butler (knee). It’s also the NBA, so we should see a few other injuries pop up during the day.

That being said, it is a great time to give you some value plays for your DFS contest. Unlike NFL DFS, where one pick can make or break your lineup or it’s tough to find quality low-tier value.

In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays under $5K that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. It does not matter if you are playing a 50/50 or Double Up contest, we are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.

Serge Ibaka, Los Angeles Clippers, $4,800

The Clippers head East to take on the Boston Celtics. Ibaka is coming off a solid game against the Milwaukee Bucks, ripping down 11 boards with 15 points for nearly 40 DKFP. The Celtics have a thin frontcourt and lack depth. Ibaka should play 30+ minutes in a close game, which is expected given the spread. A double-double is all we’re really looking for from Ibaka.

Justise Winslow, Memphis Grizzlies, $3,900

Winslow has been back for the past four games. He’s played at least 20 minutes in each contest, so the playing time is definitely there. This is a great matchup for the Grizz against the Washington Wizards, who are poor on defense. If the game stays close, Winslow should still get decent run. He had 20 points on 8-of-12 shooting in just over 20 minutes last game against the Houston Rockets.

Markieff Morris, Los Angeles Lakers, $3,400

Morris has been in the starting lineup for the Lakers with Dennis Schroder back in the fold. LeBron James is back at SF and Morris is holding down PF in the frontcourt. He’s played at least 20 minutes in four straight games and has returned value in three of four. For a starter priced this low, Morris is a good tournament lineup filler. You’d think Suns-Lakers will be tight and low scoring, but that could just mean more minutes for Morris.
