The Patriots have made a big splash in free agency, signing a slew of starting caliber players.

Bill Belichick and the New England Patriots didn’t care for the taste of missing the playoffs last season and it appears they are all in on getting back there this year. As soon as the free agency tampering period began, the Patriots were all in on acquiring multiple players. here is a full list of those re-signed and picked up from other teams:

QB Cam Newton
TE Jonnu Smith
TE Hunter Henry
WR Kendrick Bourne
WR Nelson Agholor
OT Trent Brown
DL Henry Anderson
LB Matt Judon
DB Jalen Mills
DT Davon Godchaux

There is no doubt this group will help make the team better and there’s also a good chance they end up drafting a quarterback this season, giving them a choice between Newton and a rookie. Plus, they aren’t done making moves. Reports that they are in on Chris Carson appear to be real.

All of this movement has perked the ears of the oddsmakers over at DraftKings Sportsbook, as the Patriots odds have improved over the last couple days.

Super Bowl win: +4000 to +3000
AFC Champions: +2000 to +1400
AFC East Champions: +450 to +375

These odds are still driven more by Bill Belichick’s ability to coach his teams into the playoffs so consistently more than the individual players acquired, but there is no doubt they landed solid options. But in the end, their fate will likely come back down to quarterback play, which they still don’t have a great option. If they can solidify that position, their odds will likely continue to rise.
