Teams in the West region will have to take down the odds-on favorite to reach the title game. Gonzaga’s title odds are +205, and the Bulldogs appear to be a shoo-in for the Elite 8 at -305. If the top team in the country’s odds to miss the Elite Eight are +230 and its odds to make the Final Four are -230. Gonzaga’s biggest competition in the West is Iowa. The Hawkeyes’ Elite Eight (+100) and Final Four odds (+400) are second in the region. Kansas’s Elite Eight (+330) and Final Four (+650) odds rank fourth.
Eastern Washington, Grand Canyon, Norfolk State, and Appalachian State have +5000 Elite Eight odds. Norfolk State and Appalachian State have the worst Final Four odds (+15000) in the region, as the two schools will battle it out in a First Four game to earn a first-round matchup against Gonzaga this week.
