The NASCAR Cup Series is back in action on Sunday, March 14th with the Instacart 500 at the Phoenix Raceway. The race starts at 3:30 p.m. ET and will air on FOX. You can watch a live stream on FOX.com/live.
The race is 312 laps around the mile long course, usually lasting around three hours. The last three races clocked in at 3 hours and 20 minutes, 3 hours and 4 minutes, and 2 hours and 53 minutes. The 2020 event was a bit longer than normal as the race was extended to 316 laps in an overtime finish.
The race is traditionally hosted at the Phoenix Raceway and has been a part of the Cup Series since 2005. In the 2000 season, this was interestingly the last race held before the COVID-19 pandemic struck and delayed the NASCAR season — referred to for just the 2020 season as the FanShield 500. Joey Logano is the defending champion, with current odds to win at +800.
Chase Elliott is currently favored to win the Instacart 500 on DraftKings Sportsbook, with odds at +550. He’s closely followed by Brad Keselowski (+600), and then Denny Hamlin and Kevin Harvick (both at +650).
Keselowski holds the pole in this race and is joined by Kyle Larson on the front row. Keselowski placed second last week in the Pennzoil 400.
