2021 NCAA bracketology update from ESPN’s Joe Lunardi for March 10

Today is a huge day for some ACC teams as we start sorting the wheat from the chaff in conference tournaments.

There’s a couple crucial games for bubble teams today, and ESPN’s Joe Lunardi will be moving teams up and down the lines based on every win and loss the rest of the way.

Syracuse vs. NC State at noon to open the ACC Tournament is an elimination game for bubble consideration for both teams. The Orange have played their way back into contention with home wins over North Carolina and Clemson, but both teams are just 1-6 against Quad 1 opponents this season. NC State is 65 in KenPom, while Syracuse is also below the cut line at 53.

The ACC’s No. 7 seed Louisville will need to hold serve today as well against tenth-seeded Duke, but the Cardinals are actually a two-point underdog. Duke’s 86-51 win over Boston College last night snapped a three-game losing streak, the first game of which was an 80-73 OT win by Louisville in Cameron Indoor Stadium.

And there are the teams like VCU, Colorado State, and Saint Louis whose resumes are complete. They’ll be rooting for the chalk to win tournaments all week long, but also for the teams on this list below to go home as soon as possible.

Here are the latest projections from Joe Lunardi of the 16 teams on the bubble of the NCAA Tournament:
