The Brooklyn Nets could move into the top spot in the Eastern Conference by the end of Monday night as they head on the road to take on the San Antonio Spurs. Brooklyn has found their groove especially on the offensive end with a ton of scoring talent even without Kevin Durant. The Nets had an eight-game winning streak going until Saturday’s 115-98 home loss to the Dallas Mavericks to drop Brooklyn to 22-13, a half game behind the Philadelphia 76ers. Kyrie Irving did not suit up for the Nets to rest an injured shoulder.

The Spurs will enter with a 17-12 record, which is fifth place in the Western Conference. San Antonio went 10 days between games in February with four games postponed and went 1-1 since the return. The Spurs earned a 117-114 home win over the New Orleans Pelicans on Saturday.

Nets vs. Spurs, 8:30 p.m. ET, NBA League Pass

Pick ATS: Nets -4.5

Brooklyn is playing at a high level, and this should be a good spot for the Nets even if it’s on the road. The Nets are coming off one of their worst performances in a while, getting handled by the Mavericks and should be eager to put up a ton of points as they had been in their eight-game winning streak. Brooklyn also covered eight in a row prior to Saturday’s loss, but they should get back on track because they are No. 1 in offensive efficiency this season, and it will be tough for San Antonio to keep up as they are ranked No. 20 in offensive efficiency.

Player Prop: Kyrie Irving O2.5 3-pointers made (+102)

Kyrie Irving has had a few days off to rest, and he should be fresh and ready to for this game. Irving hasn’t been great from the three-point line especially recently, but he is going up against a San Antonio defense that ranks No. 27 in three-point shooting percentage allowed at 38.4%. With the time off, Irving should be aggressive in finding his shot. He averages 7.1 three-point attempts per game and took 11 shots from long range twice in his last five games. Irving averages 2.6 made threes per game and the 2.5 number is getting plus value? Yes, please.
