No. 11 Alabama finally lost its first conference game of the year on Saturday but still comfortably sits atop the SEC standings. The Crimson Tide will look to get back on track with a victory over South Carolina on Tuesday. Can the Gamecocks put up a fight and protect their home court?
Alabama (15-5, 10-1 SEC) only fell to Missouri by three points over the weekend and has now fallen short in two of its last three games. Both of its latest defeats have come against ranked teams, though. Lead guard Jalen Shackelford has led the Crimson Tide in scoring three times in their last five games, and another strong performance from him will give the favorites an edge.
South Carolina (5-7, 3-5 SEC) only has more conference wins than Vanderbilt and Texas A&M. The Gamecocks have also played fewer games than any other team in the SEC, so facing off against one of the more seasoned squads in the conference doesn't bode well for them. AJ Lawson has led South Carolina in scoring for three straight games. He ranks fourth in the conference in scoring with 17.3 points per game and will need a lot of help from his supporting cast to make this game competitive.

The Best Bet
Alabama has won 11 of its 17 games against unranked opponents by double-digits and hasn’t lost to an unranked team since mid-December. South Carolina has a poor record against the spread despite not having many games against quality teams, so it’s unlikely that the underdog will cover against one of the best programs in the country.
Pick: Alabama -7
