The Golden State Warriors are coming off a loss in which Stephen Curry played an incredible game, and they will head on the road to meet the San Antonio Spurs on Monday night. In Saturday’s loss to the Dallas Mavericks, Curry scored 57 points and made a season-high 11 3-pointers. Golden State dropped to 12-11 and will go up against the 13-10 Spurs, which have won two straight.
Golden State Warriors vs. San Antonio Spurs, 8:30 p.m. ET
Pick ATS: Spurs -1.5
Losing a game in which your best player has a career night has to be fairly deflating. Obviously Curry is not going to put up that type of performance two games in a row, and I’m more comfortable riding the Spurs at home in this spot. Golden State is going into the third game of a four-game road trip, which can be difficult, and the Warriors are just 4-6 straight up on the road this season. Golden State power forward Eric Paschall missed the last game with a knee injury and is questionable to be back Monday night.
Player Prop: Stephen Curry U30.5 points (-110)
Steph is coming off 57 points against the Dallas Mavericks over the weekend. That has jacked up the number on Curry’s points prop a bit. The Spurs aren’t an overly tough matchup but it should be a lower-scoring game than the past two against the Mavs. Curry has failed to hit the over on this number in four of the past six games. If you’re the Spurs, the path to a win on Monday night is by shutting down Curry.
