Super Bowl LV has officially kicked off, but not off to the speedy start we all hoped for given the two teams competing. The Chiefs won the coin toss to start the game, deferring the ball until the second half.

Tom Brady and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers went three-and-out after a three-yard run by Leonard Fournette, an incompletion, and one-yard reception by Chris Godwin.

The Chiefs did convert one first down after an 11-yard rush by QB Patrick Mahomes, but they punted after their first drive died at the KC 49.

Both teams have combined for 29 yards in their first two possessions.

The Chiefs broke the punting streak on the third drive of the game, as Harrison Butker made a 49-yard field goal for the first score of the game.
