How to handle Mike Evans injury heading into Super Bowl 2021

Mike Evans is on the Buccaneers final injury report for Super Bowl 55. We break down what it means for fantasy football and betting decisions.

Despite concerns about a lingering knee injury that’s bothered him throughout the postseason, Tampa Bay Buccaneers wide receiver Mike Evans is not listed on the final official injury report for Super Bowl 55. That means the imposing pass catcher will be ready to go for the game on Sunday.

Fantasy/betting impact: Mike Evans (knee)

Evans hasn’t found much room to work in his last two games, matched up against some of the best cover corners in the game against the Saints and Packers. However, he has been a red zone threat, catching two touchdowns in three games so far. He had three catches on eight targets for 51 yards and a score in the NFC Championship game. Against the Saints in the Divisional round, he was only able to come up with one catch on three targets for three yards, but did find the end zone. He had 119 yards on six catches against Washington in the Wild Card.

Evans had just 50 yards the last time he played the Chiefs, back in Week 12, but he scored twice in that game. He’s hard to beat in the red zone, and that’s where his fantasy upside is for this game.
