How to handle Antonio Brown injury heading into Super Bowl 2021

Antonio Brown is on the Buccaneers final injury report for Super Bowl 55. We break down what it means for fantasy football and betting decisions.

Game status: Brown is ACTIVE for Super Bowl 55.

Game day update: Brown is listed as questionable, but is expected to play in the Super Bowl, per Adam Schefter.

The Tampa Bay Buccaneers have officially listed wide receiver Antonio Brown as questionable on the official injury report for Super Bowl 55. Brown is dealing with a knee injury. He missed the NFC Championship game against the Packers, and in the days since then there was some concern about his availability for the Super Bowl. However, he got in two full practice sessions on Thursday and Friday ahead of the game, and he is expected to be in uniform and on the field on Sunday.

Fantasy/betting impact: Antonio Brown (knee)

Brown had two catches on three targets for 49 yards and a touchdown in the Wild Card game against Washington. It was his fourth game in a row with a score, but he did not find the end zone in the Divisional round, catching just one pass before being forced out of that game with his injury.

With Brown in the lineup, it would almost certainly mean fewer targets for Scotty Miller and a severely limited amount of playing time for Tyler Johnson. Chris Godwin has been Tom Brady’s go-to receiver, but if the Chiefs defense focuses on him, it could open more looks for Brown.
