What time is the 2021 Super Bowl?

We look at the schedule for Super Bowl 55, including broadcast information and the time of kickoff.

Start time update: Super Bowl 55 gets underway at 6:30 p.m. ET, and is preceded by Jazmine Sullivan and Eric Church singing the National Anthem and H.E.R. singing America The Beautiful. The CBS kickoff show starts at 6 p.m. and after both teams run out on the field after intro videos, we’ll hear America The Beautiful and the National Anthem.

What time is the Super Bowl? How can it be seen? When can the socially-distanced Super Bowl party be expected to end? Here’s what you need to know about the basics of Super Bowl LV between the Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

The game is set to kickoff at 6:30 p.m. ET from Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida and can be seen on CBS with Jim Nantz and Tony Romo on the call.

Your Super Bowl viewing party may be a bit different this season as we continue to battle through COVID-19, but the broadcast time should be roughly the same as a typical Super Bowl. Unfortunately, the post-Super Bowl Monday has yet to be recognized as a national holiday, and this could be a late night.

Over the last few years, the Super Bowl has lasted roughly 3 hours, 44 minutes so that would get us to around 10:15 p.m. ET for the game clock to strike zero. You could certainly do worse as many of the major sports in the United States get started later and end much later even for the biggest games at the end of the season.

One item that’s new for the 2021 version of the Super Bowl is more states have legalized sports betting since last year’s event, and it’s becoming increasingly more popular. If your state is legalized and you want to place some action on the game, check out DraftKings Sportsbook and get your pregame bets in prior to the 6:30 p.m. ET kickoff.
