Who is announcing Super Bowl 55 for CBS

The soundtrack to Super Bowl 55 will be two of the best in the industry

The Super Bowl isn’t just a sports event, it’s a cultural phenomenon where football fans and the indifferent both decent upon their TVs to watch the festivities.

This year as the nation sits down to watch Super Bowl 55 between the Kansas City Chiefs and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, we’ll hear two of the best in the business narrating the game: Jim Nantz and Tony Romo. Nantz has been a broadcasting legend for decades, while Romo — the former Cowboys quarterback — has been a staple on the NFL on CBS since his retirement in 2017.

Nantz will provide the play by play, while Romo will be directing the game through color commentary. This will be Romo’s second Super Bowl he’s been able to announce, the first was back in 2019 between the Rams and Patriots. This will be Nantz’s sixth on play by play.

In addition to Nantz and Romo, CBS will have a crew of reporters present, including Tracy Wolfson, Evan Washburn, and Jay Feely. We’ll also get Gene Steratore serving as Rules Analyst. The network’s pregame coverage will begin at 11:30 a.m. ET with kickoff scheduled for 6:30 p.m.

The Super Bowl 55 halftime show will feature three-time Grammy Award winner The Weeknd.
