We have five games on Thursday night, with a double-header featured on TNT. At 7:30 p.m. ET, the Utah Jazz will take on the Atlanta Falcons. Then in the second game, the Denver Nuggets will play the Los Angeles Lakers. That being said, it is a great time to give you some value plays for your DFS contest. Unlike NFL DFS, where one pick can make or break your lineup or it’s tough to find quality low-tier value.
In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays under $5K that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. It does not matter if you are playing a 50/50 or Double Up contest, we are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.
Anfernee Simons, Portland Trail Blazers, $4600
With Damian Lillard (abdomen) ruled out for tonight’s game against the Philadelphia 76ers, Anfernee Simons will likely see an increase in minutes. The young guard is coming off of a lackluster performance against the Washington Wizards, where he only scored 7.5 fantasy points in 14 minutes played. But before that, Simons had six-straight games, where he recorded 10 or more fantasy points (23.3 fantasy points per game). Simons will be facing a Sixers team that just played on Wednesday night and ranks 21st against PG/SGs (OPRK).
Danny Green, Philadelphia 76ers, $4200
Danny Green is a risky play in DFS tonight due to his volume shooting. But Green could pay huge dividends against a Blazers team that is giving up 125.7 points per game and allowing teams to shoot 45.7 percent from three-point range in their last three games. Against the Hornets on Wednesday, Green scored 28.3 fantasy points (16 points, 4-7 3pt). It was the second time in four games that Green has gone over 20 or more fantasy points.
Joe Ingles, Utah Jazz, $4800
The 33-year-old Ingles did not have a stellar game against the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday as he only produced five points, three rebounds, and six assists. Despite not scoring in double figures for the first time in four games, Ingles still managed to score 19.3 fantasy points.
The veteran forward is not looked at as an instant offense guy off the bench for Jazz because of Jordan Clarkson. But Ingles still has a ton of value due to how he can stuff the stat sheet on one of the NBA’s best teams this season. Utah will be going up against a Hawks team that just played on Wednesday night and who is ranked 28th against SG/SFs (OPRK) this season.
