No positive COVID-19 tests on Wednesday of Super Bowl week

The Super Bowl COVID-19 testing continues through game day.

NFL: FEB 02 Super Bowl LV Preview

The Kansas City Chiefs and Tampa Bay Buccaneers square off at Raymond James Stadium this coming Sunday at Super Bowl 55, and as of Wednesday there are no positive COVID-19 tests, per Ian Rapoport.

The Chiefs placed Daniel Kilgore and Demarcus Robinson on the COVID-19 IR earlier this week due to close contacts. The two received a hair cut from a team barber who tested positive for COVID-19. The barber had cut Robinson’s hair prior and was in the middle of cutting Kilgore’s hair when the positive test came back.

Neither player has tested positive for the coronavirus, but is remaining quarantined for the time being. If they continue to test negative, they will be eligible to play on Sunday. If any player tests positive between now and Sunday, they will not be able to play in Super Bowl 55. Testing will continue each day up through the morning of game day.
