The No. 11-ranked Florida State Seminoles will try to capture their third-straight road win when they play the North Carolina Tar Heels Saturday at 4:00 p.m. ET. When these teams played back in January, the Seminoles came away with a 82-75 win in Tallahassee, FL.

The Seminoles (14-3, 10-2 ACC) have won four-straight games, which includes a victory over the Miami Hurricanes 88-71 on Wednesday. Against their in-state rivals, Sardaar Calhoun led Florida State with 16 points in 24 minutes off the bench. RaiQuan Gray had a double-double consisting of 12 points and a game-high 13 rebounds. FSU’s leading scorer M.J. Walker did not play on Wednesday due to an ankle play.

The Tar Heels (14-8, 8-5 ACC) come into Saturday’s game off of a non-conference loss to the Marquette Golden Eagles (83-70) on Wednesday. With that loss, UNC saw their mini two-game losing streak snapped, but they have won three out of their last five. The Tar Heels are looking for their fifth consecutive home win over the Seminoles, and their position on the bubble will look much more secure with a victory.

Point Spread, Totals, Odds, Trends

Point spread: FSU -3
Point Total: 151
Money line: Florida State -159, North Carolina +130

  • The Seminoles are 7-2-1 against the spread in their last 10 games, but are 2-8-1 in their last 11 against UNC. The point total has gone over in nine of Florida State’s last 11 games.
  • The Tar Heels are 1-5 ATS when they are playing as the underdog this season. The point total has gone over in four of UNC’s last five games.

The Best Bet

The line for this game opened up at -1 due to the game status of Seminoles guard M.J. Walker, who missed Wednesday’s game with an ankle injury. Walker will be a game-time decision, which could swing this line again on Saturday. But the Seminoles are still a great time and have a good player in RaiQuan Gray. This isn’t a game where I’d lean towards the ML, but the Seminoles should be able to squeak by three points or more.

Pick: FSU -3
