Starting lineup for the Contender Boats 250 race at Homestead

The 2021 NASCAR Xfinity Series returns to the track on Saturday, February 27 at Homestead-Miami Speedway. The circuit will run the Contender Boats 250, with the race airing on FS1 starting at 4:30 p.m. ET.

Austin Cindric and Daniel Hemric will sit on the front row for the race, followed by Harrison Burton and Brandon Jones. The starting lineup for this race and most of the races this season will involve a performance-metric formula created last year due to COVID-19 pandemic. The formula will take recent performance into account to determine the starting grid, and will apply across the three circuits (Cup, Xfinity, Truck). The four factors utilized include 35 percent for team owner points ranking, 25 percent for driver’s finishing position from the previous race, 25 percent for car owner’s finishing position from the previous race, and 15 percent for fastest lap from the previous race.

Tyler Reddick is the favorite to win at DraftKings Sportsbook, installed at +200. He is followed by Noah Gragson (+300), Cindric (+500), Ty Dillon (+1000), and Burton and AJ Allmendinger (both at +1200). Last June, Burton and Chase Briscoe split a double-header of Xfinity racing at Homestead.
