Best NBA team stacks for DFS on Friday, February 26th

We go over some of the best NBA teams to stack for DFS on DraftKings for Friday’s main slate.

In the Post: Damian Lillard is a must have for your DFS lineup - February 26, 2021

We get another nine-gamer to start the weekend in the NBA. Last night, we did an OK job with stacks, nailing the New York Knicks against the Sacramento Kings. We were off on some of the bench players, but if you targeted New York, the team dropped 140 on SacTown. The Los Angeles Clippers were a complete bust against the Memphis Grizzlies, which I don’t think anyone saw coming. The Denver Nuggets were also lackluster, though that stack didn’t perform too poorly.

Sometimes with a plus-matchup on the NBA game slate, we get an opportunity to slot multiple players from the same team into our DFS lineups. You can read more about the concept of stacking here, but the main goal is to take advantage of this plus-matchup and use the salary cap to your advantage.

Here, we’ll break down three of the best team stacks for the NBA slate on Friday, February 26th.

Golden State Warriors vs. Charlotte Hornets, 10:00 p.m. ET

Stephen Curry ($9,700)
LaMelo Ball ($8,700)
Gordon Hayward ($6,700)
Andrew Wiggins ($6,200)
Malik Monk ($5,200)
Kevon Looney ($3,000)

We’re going with a full game stack here since this is the highest game total with two teams that play fast on offense. These two teams played to 202 total points last weekend but that was with Steph (illness) sidelined. So we get the first Steph vs. LaMelo meeting tonight. Hayward is underpriced and gives us another high ceiling play. Monk has been scorching hot draining at least 4 treys in three of four games. He’s more volatile, but that’s fine if we’re stacking this game in a GPP. Looney isn’t getting a ton of minutes but at min-price, he’s going to give us what we want. You may want to pick a side and lean heavy on that team in the stack, running it back with either Ball or Curry.

Detroit Pistons vs. Sacramento Kings, 8:00 p.m. ET

Jerami Grant ($7,300)
Mason Plumlee ($6,500)
Dennis Smith Jr. ($4,600)
Svi Mykhailiuk ($3,400)

We might as well go back to the well and pick on the Kings again. The Pistons are coming off a loss to the Pelicans but played well for most of that game. Grant returns after getting some rest. The Kings are on the second of a back-to-back and needed to travel from NYC to Detroit. SacTown got rained upon by Immanuel Quickley and Alec Burks, so Mykhailiuk feels like a strong value if Wright and Saddiq Bey (questionable) remain out. There’s no one we really need to spend up for in this stack, so we can still fit in some studs.

Atlanta Hawks vs. Oklahoma City Thunder, 8:00 p.m. ET

Trae Young ($9,900)
Clint Capela ($7,800)
Danilo Gallinari ($5,000)
Tony Snell ($3,400)

The Hawks’ offense has been playing well lately and is coming off a nutty win over the Boston Celtics. Gallo set a franchise record with 10 3PM in the win. Now, he gets a revenge spot on the road back in OKC against his former team. John Collins is still being held back by concussion-like symptoms it seems. The Thunder won’t have Al Horford (rest), which makes things easier down low. Snell has been starting for Reddish the past few games and has posted at least 23 DKFP in back-to-back games. Horford being up is a boost for Cap. The total for this game is 226 and the spread is just 5 points. I’m OK running this back with either Shai Gilgeous-Alexander ($8,800) or Darius Bazley ($5,200).
