No. 19 USC followed up its loss to Arizona with a convincing win over Oregon on Monday, and will look to remain undefeated this week against Colorado on Thursday evening. The Buffaloes lost a close game to Oregon last week and rebounded with a win against Oregon State over the weekend. They upset the Trojans by 10 on the last day of 2020, and will look to take them repeat the feat in the return.

USC (19-4, 13-3) sits atop the Pac-12 standings and holds a narrow lead over UCLA. The Trojans are an impressive 6-1 on the road and have only lost to Oregon State away from home. Freshman standout Evan Mobley shot a career-low 35.7% from the field the first time he faced Colorado. If the big man is on his game, the flipped could easily be switched in this rematch.

Colorado (17-7, 11-6) is fourth in the Pac-12 and has lost two of its last three games. Its success is often linked to McKinley Wright IV, who scored a game-high 19 points against USC in December. The senior guard could help the Buffaloes make up for their disadvantage in the post with a hot shooting night.

Point Spread, Totals, Odds, Trends

Point spread: Colorado -2.5
Point Total: 136.5
Money line: USC +120, Colorado -148

  • USC is 15-8 ATS overall and 6-3 on the road
  • Colorado is 13-11 ATS overall and 7-3 on the road.

The Best Bet

USC’s best player had arguably his worst game of the year against Colorado in December, but the Buffaloes only made two more shots than the Trojans. Colorado won the game at the charity stripe and on the glass. USC is typically one of the most efficient shooting teams in the country and boasts the country's fifth-best field goal percentage defense. I like the odds of Mobley getting back to his usual game and helping the Trojans cover.

Pick: USC +2.5
