No 13. Creighton is flying high amid a three-game winning streak and toppled No. 8 Villanova in its last outing. The Bluejays are only second to the Wildcats in the Big East standings and have a chance to shrink the gap between them and the leaders in their Wednesday rematch against DePaul at home.

Creighton (16-5, 12-4 Big East) edged out DePaul by seven points in late January thanks to its well-rounded scoring. All five of the Bluejays’ starters aver averaging double-digits in points, but Marcus Zegarowski leads the way on offense. The junior guard is Creighton’s top scorer and assist man. Following up the season-high 25 points he posted in his last game with another strong performance would bode well for the hosts.

DePaul (4-10, 2-10 Big East) snapped a two-game losing streak by beating St. Johns over the weekend thanks to a season-high 24 points from senior guard Charlie Moore. Moore leads the Blue Demons in points and assists per game. His battle against Zegarowski will be one to watch in this matchup.

Point Spread, Totals, Odds, Trends

Point spread: Creighton -14.5
Point Total: 141.5
Money line: DePaul +850, Creighton -1667

  • Creighton is 9-12 ATS overall and 5-7 at home
  • DePaul is 7-7 ATS overall and 4-2 on the road

The Best Bet

Moore didn’t play in the last meeting between these two sides, and he’s an impact player who can make a difference on the road. His presence might not make this a close game, but DePaul’s record against the spread in enemy territory is favorable. Having its best player available should help keep the game from ending in a blowout.

Pick: DePaul +14.5
