The NC State Wolfpack will try to pull the upset and hand the No. 15-ranked Virginia Cavaliers another loss when they play Wednesday at 6:30 p.m. ET. These two teams last played earlier this month, where the Cavaliers won 64-57 in Raleigh, NC.
The Wolfpack (10-9, 6-8 ACC) have won two-straight games, which includes a victory over the Wake Forest Demon Deacons 80-62 on Saturday. Dereon Seaborn was the star of the game as he scored 14 points on 5-of-10 shooting from the field and grabbed a team-high nine rebounds. However, Jericole Hellems is a player to watch for NC State, who also had 14 points in their latest victory. The junior forward leads the team in scoring at 13.3 points per game.
The Cavaliers (15-5, 11-3 ACC) come into Wednesday’s game on a two-game losing streak after suffering a tough 66-65 loss to the Duke Blue Devils on Saturday. UVA is only a half game out of first place and has won their last nine home games. In those home wins, the Cavs are averaging 72.3 points per game, while only allowing 57.6 points per game.

Point Spread, Totals, Odds, Trends
Point spread: UVA -11.5
Point Total: 128
Money line: NC State +550, Virginia -835
- The Cavaliers have a record of 2-3 against the spread in their last five games and 5-4 ATS at home this season. Additionally, the point total has gone under in 10 of UVA’s last 10 contests against NC State.
- The Wolfpack are 3-2 against the spread in their last five games and a respectable 4-3-1 ATS on the road this season. The point total has gone under in five of NC State’s last five road games against Virginia.
The Best Bet
The last time the Cavaliers were double-digit favorites, they defeated Pittsburgh 73-66 but failed to cover the -11. This season, when UVA is double-digit favorites, they have a record of 3-4 against the spread. This is the first time that NC State is a double-digit underdog ATS. I think the Cavs will come away with the win, but it will likely be another single-digit result.
Pick: NC State +11.5
