We’ve got nine games in the NBA for Tuesday night, which means plenty of betting splits to go through. There are a decent amount of injuries as of now, but most of the matchups are pretty much set unless we get late news (which we will). The lines have been tricky to figure out with all the injury news and late lineup changes, coupled with no fans and teams playing condensed schedules. Our friends over at DraftKings Sportsbook sent us over some betting splits for Tuesday night. We’re going to post a table below and then provide a little bit of analysis based off of line movement throughout the day.
Update, 4:20 p.m. — The Hawks-Cavaliers game has seen a 1-point increase on the spread to -8 in favor of Atlanta. The Cavs haven’t covered a spread in 12 straight games. The Hawks should have both Cam Reddish and Rajon Rondo back, so there’s no reason to believe this can’t be another lopsided loss for Cleveland.
The other big movement we’re seeing is on the Denver Nuggets-Portland Trail Blazers game. The Nuggets were 7.5-point favorites on the road. That line has come down to 6 points, so people are leaning toward Portland on the spread.
There hasn’t been much movement on over/under’s outside of the Orlando Magic-Detroit Pistons game, which had a very low total at 207.5. That number is up to 210, which might suggest that the public thinks Orlando can lay some points on Detroit. It’s certainly possible. The Magic have scored over 100 points in three straight games. Still, this a rematch from the last game, which had a grand total of 201. The Pistons won’t have Wayne Ellington, that’s about it on the injury report.
