The Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets head up to Blacksburg on Tuesday night to take on the No. 18 Virginia Tech Hokies .
Georgia Tech (11-8, 7-6 ACC) has a pretty solid offense, scoring over 75 points per game and good for 28th in the nation according to KenPom. The Jackets are on a two-game winning streak but have lost two of their last four overall. They’ve beaten two ranked opponents this season, FSU earlier this year and Kentucky, who was ranked No. 20 at the time, back in December. The Yellow Jackets have four players averaging double figures, including two players scoring 16+ per game. Jose Alvarado is the leader of the team with scoring 16.7 points per game and leads the team in assists and steals as well.
The Hokies (14-4, 8-3 ACC) currently sit just one game back of first place in the ACC, and this game could do a lot for their conference title hopes if they come away with a win. VT is scoring 73 points per contest while giving up a tough 65 to their opponents. They rank in the top-50 in both categories, according got KenPom. Keve Aluma is the team’s top scorer, averaging nearly 16 points per game. He’s also the top man on VT for boards and blocks.
KenPom is giving the Hokies a 59% chance to win this one.

The Best Bet
Georgia Tech beat the brakes off a Miami team Virginia Tech edged out by four points, but the Hokies have been exceptional at home and boast a 9-1 record. Only Penn State has beaten Virginia Tech at Cassell Coliseum. The Hokies have won half of their home games by double-digits and the Yellow Jackets are an abysmal 2-5 on the road.
Pick: Virginia Tech -1.5
