Tuesday’s main NBA slate on DraftKings will be a big one, as nine games are set to tip-off between 7:00 and 10:00 p.m. ET. There are plenty of under-the-radar fantasy targets worth considering for the matchup, and we’ve got our eyes on a few that stand out.
That being said, it is a great time to give you some value plays for your DFS contest. Unlike NFL DFS, where one pick can make or break your lineup or it’s tough to find quality low-tier value.
In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays under $5K that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. It does not matter if you are playing a 50/50 or Double Up contest, we are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.
Kevin Huerter, Atlanta Hawks, $5,000
Huerter has logged at least 34 minutes in seven of his last 10 games because of all his team’s injury problems. While he’s in a bit of a slump, he can take advantage of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ undersized backcourt. Assuming that Collin Sexton will take on guarding Trae Young, Huerter will draw a matchup against Darius Garland. The Cavs’ defense ranks 27th on DraftKings against opposing shooting guards.
Jalen Brunson, Dallas Mavericks, $4,600
Brunson has tallied at least 32 DKFP in three of his last five games. Luka Doncic is the only other Dallas player who creates for others, and Brunson will be even more important than usual with Kristaps Porzings (back) out for a second straight game. Brunson runs the second unit and is trusted to help the Mavericks close out games. The Boston Celtics are weak defensively across the board without Marcus Smart.
Bruce Brown, Brooklyn Nets, $4,500
Brown has become increasingly important for the Nets, with Kevin Durant still recovering from a hamstring injury. He and Joe Harris are the only small forwards who are not dealing with injuries. He’ll match up against a Sacramento Kings defense that’s arguably the worst in the league after a 13-point performance on season-high 34 minutes against the Los Angeles Clippers. I like his odds of showing up again in an ideal matchup against a Kings defense that ranks dead last against his position on DraftKings.
