What day are the 2021 Golden Globes?

The 78th annual Golden Globes air this coming Sunday. We break down the details.

The road to the 2021 Academy Awards reaches a significant benchmark this coming weekend with the awarding of the 78th annual Golden Globes. The awards show honors the best in television and movies.

The show traditionally airs in early January, but the COVID-19 pandemic resulted in a postponement. Last summer, the Hollywood Foreign Press Association — the group that handles the awards — elected to push it to February due to the impact the coronavirus had on television and film production.

Nominees for the show were announced on February 3rd and the show will air on February 28th. The program will air from 8 p.m. to 11 p.m. ET on NBC, hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler.
