Pick against the spread, best player prop for Hornets vs. Jazz on Monday

The Utah Jazz had their nine-game winning streak snapped, and they’ll look to build a new streak when they host the Charlotte Hornets on Monday night. Utah lost on the road to the Los Angeles Clippers 116-112 on Friday night for the Jazz’s first loss of February.

Charlotte was without point guard Devonte’ Graham in Saturday’s 102-100 home win over the Golden State Warriors, and he is doubtful for Monday’s game with a knee injury. The Hornets are 14-15 and won two of their last three games. They lost 138-121 at home against Utah on February 5th.

Utah had an eight-game streak where they covered the spread in each contest until that was snapped by the Clippers, but let’s get back on the Jazz train. Utah had an extra day of rest and is playing at home for the first time in a week, so this is a solid spot to take the Jazz even with a big number.

Player Prop: LaMelo Ball O6.5 assists (-110)

Without Graham in the lineup, LaMelo Ball should go for seven assists at least. He went over 6.5 assists in each of his last two games, and he has been getting more minutes than he did at the start of the season. The Jazz allow the least amount of assists per game, but Ball will have the ball in his hands for a lot of this game. He has been struggling from three-point range recently, so dishing the ball will give the Hornets their best chance at success on Monday night.
