In one of two games to tip-off at 9 p.m. ET, the Sacramento Kings will travel across country to play the Chicago Bulls on Saturday night. These two teams played each other on Jan. 7, where the Kings won 128-124 at home.
The Kings are coming into this game on a five-game losing streak after falling 118-110 to the Miami Heat on Thursday night. Sacramento is 4-6 in their last 10 games and have lost by an average of 10.4 points during this current losing streak.
Meanwhile, the Bulls saw their two-game winning streak end on Friday as they lost 112-105 to the Philadelphia 76ers. Chicago is 5-5 in their last 10 games and will be looking for their second-straight home win. Can the Kings snap their losing streak on the road? Or will the Bulls regroup and get a win on the second night of back-to-back? We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.
Sacramento Kings vs. Chicago Bulls, 9:00 p.m. ET
Pick ATS: Bulls +2
The line for Saturday night’s game is currently set at two points, with the Kings surprisingly favored on the road. Sacramento comes into the game banged up as Richaun Holmes and Harrison Barnes are both listed as questionable. If Holmes cannot play that would mean more minutes for Marvin Bagley, which is not a bad thing. But the Kings will lose a defensive presence in the frontcourt.
Sacramento has a record of 0-5 against the spread in their last five games. However, they are a perfect 5-0 ATS in their last five road games. Coincidentally, the last time the Kings covered (+8), they also defeated the Los Angeles Clippers 113-110.
As for the Bulls, they have not been a great bet at home with a record of 2-6-1 in nine games at the United Center. Furthermore, in the second game of a back-to-back this season, Chicago has a record of 2-3 against the spread. It’s hard to confidently back the Kings with uncertainty surrounding Barnes and Holmes’ playing status. Therefore, the Bulls may be better the play.
Player Prop: Wendell Carter Jr. O12.5 points (-105)
If Richaun Holmes does not end up playing on Saturday night, that could be good news for Bulls center Wendell Carter Jr. Carter should be able to score against the likes of Bagley III and Hassan Whiteside.
The 21-year-old big man is averaging 13.1 points and 7.5 rebounds per game. He has only gone over 12.5 points in seven out of 17 games played. However, in his last three games for the Bulls, WCJ is averaging 14.7 points on 62.1 percent from the field. The last time these teams played each other in January, Carter produced 11 points in 29 minutes played.
