On Saturday evening, the No. 9-ranked Oklahoma Sooners will go on the road to take on the lowly Iowa State Cyclones at 6 p.m. ET ESPN2. The last time these two teams played against each other, the Sooners won 79-72 a couple of weeks ago.

The Sooners (11-6, 7-6) have won two-straight and are only 2.5 games behind the Baylor Bears for first place in the Big 12. Last weekend, Oklahoma defeated the West Virginia Mountaineers 91-90 in double overtime. Austin Reaves was the star of the game with a team-high 28 points, while adding nine rebounds and seven assists. Reaves is averaging 16.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, and 5.4 assists per game. The Sooners had all five starters score at least 10 points or more.

The Cyclones (2-15, 0-12) have lost 11 straight games, which include recent losses to the Sooners and a two-game sweep by the Kansas Jayhawks. On Tuesday, Iowa State lost 76-58 to the Oklahoma State Cowboys. Jalen Coleman-Lands led the Cyclones with 17 points (5-11 FG, 3-9 3pt). He was only one of two players that reached double-figures. As a team, they shot 33.3 percent from the field and 26.1 percent from three-point range.

The Best Bet

Iowa State won’t go defeated all the way through Big 12 play, but they’re not covering here. OU doesn’t play down to competition with a veteran team that tends to take care of business. After a too-close seven-point win vs. ISU at home, they put the throttle down here.
