The No. 20 Missouri Tigers are in the midst of a three game losing streak and are looking to get back on the right track on Saturday against the South Carolina Gamecocks
Mizzou (13-6, 6-6 SEC) has lost three in a row and four of their last 10. On the season their offense has been solid, scoring 74 points per game. Their defense has been a touch better though, only allowing opponents to score 71 points against them. KenPom has them ranked as a top-60 offense and defense after their recent losing skid. Xavier Pinson leads the team in scoring with 14 per game, but Jeremiah Tilmon is probably the most dangerous player on the floor. He’s averaging over 12 points per game and leads the team in boards, with almost eight per night.
The Gamecocks (5-10, 3-8 SEC) offense has been the exact same from a statistical standpoint as Mizzou’s, as they also score 74 points per game. But their defense has been rough all season, allowing opponents to score nearly 80 per contest. To make matters worse, AJ Lawson is really the one player teams can key in on stopping. He’s averaging over 18 points per game, but only one other USC player is hitting double figures on a consistent basis.
Mizzou beat South Carolina by double digits the first time these two teams faced off back in January. KenPom is giving the Tigers a 59% chance to go on the road and come away with a win.

Point Spread, Totals, Odds, Trends
Point spread: Missouri -3.5
Point Total: 151
Money line: Missouri -175, South Carolina +140
- Mizzou has struggled against the spread recently, going 2-5 ATS in their last seven
- During the Tigers’ losing streak, they’ve given up a lot more points than usual, and the over has hit in seven of their last nine.
- USC has had the same struggles against the spread, going 3-6 ATS in their last nine.
- The over has hit in 15 of the Gamecocks’ last 20 games as well, so that’s been a pretty safe bet recently.
The Best Bet
Missouri has fallen down the SEC ladder over the past two weeks but if there’s any opportunity to have a “get right” game, it’s on the road against one of the league’s lower tier foes.
Pick: Missouri -3.5
