In one of five games on the NBA’s Saturday night slate, the Phoenix Suns will take on the Memphis Grizzlies at 9 p.m. ET. The last time these two teams played, the Grizzlies clawed out a 108-104 victory over the Suns on Martin Luther King Jr. Day.
Phoenix coming into this matchup on the second night of a back-to-back. On Friday night, they defeated the New Orleans Pelicans 132-114. The Suns have now four out of their last five games and are 8-2 in their last 10 games.
As for Memphis, they also played on Friday, defeating the Detroit Pistons 109-95 for their second-straight win. The Grizz have played better recently, winning three out of their last five contests.
Can the Suns avenge their lost from last month to Memphis? Or will the Grizzlies extend their winning streak to three games? We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.
Suns vs. Grizzlies, 9:00 p.m. ET, NBA League Pass
Pick ATS: Grizzlies +4
The line for Saturday night’s game is currently set at four points, with the Suns being favored on the road. With the way that they have been playing, it is hard to bet against Phoenix.
The Suns are 7-1 against the spread in their last eight game and an impressive 10-2 ATS in their last 12 games. Their only two losses ATS happened against the Nets, where they were eight-point favorites but had an epic second-half collapse. And earlier this month, against the Pelicans where they were two-point favorites.
Memphis has a record of 4-2 against the spread in their last six games. But at home this season, they have a record of 6-7-1 against the spread. The Suns are at full strength, while Memphis guard Dillon Brooks is questionable with a thigh injury as he did not play on Friday night against Detroit.
If Brooks cannot play then we should expect the Grizzlies to put Brandon Clarke back into the starting lineup for the second-straight game. With both teams playing on Friday night, I do not see a blowout either way. The Grizzlies should be able to cover the four points as they were in this spot against the Suns on Jan. 18, where they were 5.5-point underdogs.
