The Wisconsin Badgers and Penn State Nittany Lions will play their second game in a row against each other on Tuesday night in Madison. Penn State got the best of Wisconsin on Saturday with an 81-71 home win for their first win against the Badgers in 13 previous tries.
Wisconsin (13-5, 7-4 Big Ten) hasn’t been as consistent as would be expected from a team loaded with seniors, and they struggled to contain Penn State defensively in Saturday’s loss. Big man Nate Reuvers was expected to be Wisconsin’s best player coming into the season but is now coming off the bench for the Badgers. He had a breakout game, tying a season-high 18 points against Penn State and if he can get going again, this is a dangerous Badgers team.
Penn State (6-7, 3-6 Big Ten) has about as deceiving of a record as it gets because this is a solid college basketball team especially on the offensive end where they rank No. 16 in adjusted offensive efficiency. The Nittany Lions have won three of their last four games with the lone loss in that stretch coming by four points on the road against the Ohio State Buckeyes. Guards Myreon Jones and Izaiah Brockington are each averaging more than 15 points for Penn State.
