The Utah Jazz will take the best record in the NBA on the road against the Los Angeles Clippers for the second game of a doubleheader on Friday night. Utah is on a nine-game winning streak with a 24-5 record, 2.5 games ahead of the Los Angeles Lakers for the top spot in the Western Conference.
The Clippers check in with a 21-9 record, third place in the West. They had a four-game winning streak snapped on Wednesday night when they lost to the Jazz 114-96 at home. Utah is 2-0 in the season series between these two teams heading into Friday night. Check the injury reports prior to game time as Kawhi Leonard and Nicolas Batum are listed as questionable.
Jazz vs. Clippers, 10:00 p.m. ET, ESPN
Pick ATS: Jazz -3.5
It sure was tempting to take the Clippers to put an end to this Utah streak, but the injury situation for Los Angeles makes that difficult to feel confident about. The Clippers are already without Paul George, and Batum and Leonard did not play the last time out. Leonard hasn’t played in a game for a full week, so he could be rusty in his first game back. Regardless if either play or not, this Utah team continues to play well and is ahead of oddsmakers. The Jazz are 8-0 against the spread in their last eight games.
