In the last game to tip-off on Thursday night, the Miami Heat will try to snap their three-game winning when they play the Sacramento Kings at 10 p.m. ET. These two teams played each other on Jan. 30, where the Heat won 105-104 in Jimmy Butler’s return.
The Heat are coming into this game off of a tough 120-112 overtime loss to the Golden State Warriors on Wednesday night. Miami had a double-digit lead late in the game, but ultimately squandered it away. Meanwhile, the Kings are entering this contest on a four-game losing streak after falling 136-125 on Monday night to the Brooklyn Nets. Can the Heat snap their losing streak on the second night of a back-to-back? Or will the Kings get the best of them led by De’Aaron Fox? We’ll go over some ideal picks on DraftKings Sportsbook centered around the game here.
Heat vs. Kings, 10:00 p.m. ET, NBA League Pass
Pick ATS: Kings +1
The line for Thursday night’s game is currently set at one point, with the Heat favored on the road. With the line hovering around 1 or maybe by 1.5 in a couple of hours, we are officially in pick’em territory.
This season, the Kings have a record of 7-10 at home and are 6-11 against the spread. As for the Heat, they have struggled on the road with a record of 4-11 and 5-9 ATS. The last time Miami played in a back-to-back was on Jan. 22 and 23. They lost to the Raptors 101-81 and failed to cover the +2. But the Heat bounced back the following day, covering the +4.5 against the Nets (128-124).
That being said, the Kings come into the game as the fresher team and should be able to run up and down the floor with Fox leading the way.
Player Prop: Jimmy Butler O21.5 points (-106)
A majority of Thursday night's player props are juiced to the moon between the Kings and Heat. However, a player prop that you should consider is Jimmy Butler over 21. 5 points. The veteran two-way guard only scored 13 points (6-of-15 FG, 1-2 3pt) on Wednesday against the Golden State Warriors.
In Miami’s last five games, Butler has gone over 21.5 points three times and is averaging 22.2 points. If the Heat want to win tonight, it will be up for Butler to not only create for others but to dominate. This season, he is averaging 19.4 points, 7.7 rebounds, and 7.4 assists per game.
