Pick against the spread, best player prop for Raptors vs. Bucks on Thursday

We go over some of the best betting options for Thursday’s matchup between the Toronto Raptors and Milwaukee Bucks.

The Milwaukee Bucks come into tonight’s contest on a four-game losing skid which isn’t a good look for Giannis and the boys. This will be the second in a pair of back-to-back games between the Toronto Raptors and the Bucks, with the first result going in favor of Toronto with a 124-113 win thanks in large part to a 33-point performance from Fred VanVleet. Toronto had lost their two previous games before that to the Celtics and the Timberwolves, so a win on the road was just what the doctor ordered.

Raptors vs. Bucks, 7:30 p.m. ET, TNT

Pick ATS: Raptors +6

The spread is set at six for this game as the Bucks stay at home to host the Raptors for the second straight time, and they’ll be doing it yet again without their leading guard Jrue Holiday. It’s no coincidence that the Bucks have lost four of their five games without Holiday as it’s obvious that coach Mike Budenholzer doesn’t really have a proper replacement for him at the moment. Giannis seems to be stepping up, averaging 32.8 points over the last five games without Holiday, but it’s not enough as was evident in Tuesday’s game against the Raptors when he went for a team-high 34 points and 10 rebounds, but the Bucks still ended up losing yet again.

The Raptors will look for a carbon copy of Tuesday’s result, but will hope for a better all-around performance as they trailed by double digits after taking a lead in the first quarter. Sure, they pulled ahead and never looked back, but they gave the Bucks a window to get on top and stay there, even if it was unsuccessful for the hosts. In addition to VanVleet’s 33 points, Pascal Siakam notched 23 points and 13 rebounds, while four other players finished with double-digit points as well.

Player Prop: Giannis Antetokounmpo O31.5 points (-110)

Giannis, as mentioned before, finished with 34 points on Tuesday night and has been averaging 32.8 points per game in the absence of Jrue Holiday. Regardless of the outcome of tonight’s game, expect Giannis to go big even if that means the Bucks still lose by at least 10 in the end.
