We would have had seven games to sort through for NBA player prop bets on Tuesday night. Instead, we have six with the San Antonio Spurs and Detroit Pistons game postponed due to positive Covid-19 tests on the San Antonio side. Luckily, the six games we do have on tap offer up plenty of value. There are players resting and injuries to account for, plus a little bit of narrative. Let’s take a look at some of the top player prop bets to consider. We’ll add some on as more news trickles in during the day.
Michael Porter Jr. O15.5 points (-110)
The Denver Nuggets head on the road to take on the Boston Celtics, a team that is reeling and ravaged by injuries. The Celtics won’t have Marcus Smart or Daniel Theis tonight. Jayson Tatum recently came out and said he’s still feeling some lingering effects of Covid-19. On the other side, the Nuggets are sitting Paul Millsap and Will Barton. As a result, Porter should see more touches on offense. If you want a slightly safer line, Porter is set at 23.5 Pts + Rebs + Asts at -118. MPJ is projected for around 18 points, so both numbers are favorable.
Al Horford O27.5 Pts + Rebs + Asts (-117)
With Shai Gilgeous-Alexander out again, the Oklahoma City Thunder won’t really have a go-to guy. Horford has sort of been that on offense. In seven games in February, Horford is averaging 18.6 points, 6.4 rebounds and 5.4 assists per game. That would put him right around 30 Pts + Rebs + Asts on average. The Portland Trail Blazers are lacking size with Jusuf Nurkic out and Horford should see favorable matchups vs. Enes Kanter and Carmelo Anthony down low. Horford is a great passer, which should play great against a poor defensive team in Portland.
James Harden O7.5 Rebounds (+100)
The Brooklyn Nets are on the second night of a back-to-back, so be sure to check on the injury report and make sure everything is in order. Harden should play and if he does, hitting this line is the way to go. The Beard has hit the over on this total in 7 of his past 9 games. The Phoenix Suns are a good defensive team overall but the Nets offense may be too much. Brooklyn has scored over 130 points in consecutive games. With that in mind, if the pace is up that means more possessions and more missed shots (more boards). This feels like a no-brainer on a line that has some juice.
