We go over some of the best betting options for Wednesday’s Atlanta Hawks and Dallas Mavericks matchup.

In the first game on ESPN Wednesday night, the Atlanta Hawks will go on the road to play the Dallas Mavericks. These teams played last week, where Dallas won 122-116 at State Farm Arena.

The Hawks (11-12) are coming off of a 132-121 win over the Toronto Raptors on Saturday. Trae Young had a double-double consisting of 28 points and 13 rebounds. Clint Capela had an impressive game as well, contributing 23 points and 16 rebounds. As a team, the Hawks had all five starters score double figures with Danilo Gallinari pitching in 14 points off the bench.

The Mavs (11-14) have won two-straight games after defeating the Minnesota Timberwolves 127-122 on Monday night. Dallas has won three out of their last five games but are 3-7 in their last 10.

Against the T’Wolves, Kristaps Porzingis led the way with 27 points (10-19 FG, 4-7 3pt), 13 rebounds, six blocks, and four assists. Luka Doncic added 26 points, eight rebounds, and five assists. Then off the bench, Tim Hardaway scored 24 points on an efficient 9-of-15 shooting from the field and 4-of-9 shooting from three-point range in 29 minutes.

What can we expect from these two teams on Wednesday night? Also, can the Hawks avenge their loss last week to the Mavs? To answer those questions and more, here is our pick against the spread and a player prop you need to consider.

Hawks vs. Mavericks, 7:30 p.m. ET, ESPN

Pick ATS: Hawks +3.5

The line for Wednesday night’s game is currently set at 3.5 points, with the Mavericks being favored at home. The last time these two teams faced off, Dallas won by six points with the line set at -2. However, the Mavericks have not been great ATS spread since then at a record of 1-9 in their last 10 games. Dallas also has a record of 2-9 at American Airlines Arena this season.

When it comes to the Hawks, they are doing great ATS on the road this season. Atlanta’s record is 6-4 but they are 2-3 in their last five contests. Their only ATS wins happened against the Raptors (+1) and Wizards (-3.5). The Hawks are also coming into tonight’s game without Bogdan Bogdanovic and De’Andre Hunter. But despite not having those guys, I still think the Hawks can give the Mavs’ problems especially Capela and John Collins.

Player Prop: Kevin Huerter O12.5 points (+100)

When the Hawks’ player props come out on a given day, it is always tempting to take the over on Trae Young’s three-pointers made prop. Most of the time, the prop is always plus money and Young is liable to always go off.

For Wednesday’s night game, the player prop to consider is Kevin Huerter over 12.5 points. The second-year wing out of Maryland will be looked upon to score more without the likes of Hunter and Bogdanovic. This season, Huerter is averaging 12.3 points per game. He has gone over 12.5 points in 10 out of the Hawks’ 22 games. Furthermore, he’s producing 14.2 points per game in Atlanta’s last five contests.
