NBA DFS value plays under $5K for Monday, February 1

We go over some top bargain options under $5K on DraftKings for Monday’s main slate.

Monday will be jam-packed with NBA action, as there are 10 games on the main slate at DraftKings. There are tons of options to consider, and we’ve identified a few plays that could help you take down GPPs. That being said, it is a great time to give you some value plays for your DFS contest. Unlike NFL DFS, where one pick can make or break your lineup or it’s tough to find quality low-tier value.

In NBA DFS, you can find quality value plays under $5K that can give you a quick 10 points off the bench, grab some rebounds, or stuff the stat sheet. It does not matter if you are playing a 50/50 or Double Up contest, we are going to provide you with three players that you need to put in your lineup.

Will Barton, Nuggets, $4,800

Barton’s inconsistency has steered many fantasy basketball players, but things are looking up for the sixth man. Garry Harris suffered a thigh injury in Denver’s Sunday game against the Utah Jazz and has been ruled out of Monday’s game. P.J. Dozier is also out with a hamstring injury, so Barton could prove to be extremely valuable as the Nuggets’ only quality wing defender behind Michael Porter Jr. He’ll likely start with Harris out of commission and his defensive versatility will keep him on the court. Even if he doesn’t have a hot hand shooting the ball, he’ll get plenty of time to make impact plays. He played 37 minutes on Sunday.

Cam Reddish, Hawks, $4,800

Atlanta won’t have De’Andre Hunter available for its Monday matchup against the Los Angeles Lakers but will need someone to take on the challenge of guarding LeBron James. While Reddish is primarily deployed as a shooting guard, the chances of the Hawks attempting to defend James with Danilo Gallinari or Solomon Hill is highly unlikely. Reddish will stay on the court as long as the game is close, and should get more shots with Atlanta’s second-leading scorer out.

Derrick White, Spurs, $4,600

White did not disappoint in his second game of the season on Sunday. His toe didn’t seem to bother him and he led the Spurs in scoring with 18 points off the bench despite being on a minutes restriction. He was 6-for-11 from the field and made three shots from beyond the arc. It’s only a matter of time before he’s starting again and could quickly become one of San Antonio’s top fantasy options.
