Milwaukee Bucks PF Giannis Antetokounmpo was a late scratched from Thursday night’s game vs. the Toronto Raptors due to calf soreness. Giannis was not on the injury report all day long with this calf injury, so it must have been something that popped up during warmups. This will be sure to tilt everyone’s face off on the Thursday night NBA DFS slate. Update, Dec. 5 — Antetokounmpo has been listed as questionable for Monday’s game against the Cavaliers. He’s missed a few games due to a calf injury, but is trending in the right direction for Monday’s game based on his past designations.
Update, Dec. 4 — Antetokounmpo was already doubtful for the game Saturday, but he has now been officially been ruled out. The Bucks want to be rightfully cautious with their star and will keep him off the floor until he’s ready to go.
Update, Dec. 3 — Antetokounmpo is officially listed as doubtful for Saturday’s game against the Heat. The star power forward is dealing with calf soreness and the Bucks are taking extra precautions given their injury situation on the roster.
Update, Dec. 3 — With Giannis out, Holiday and Middleton picked up the slack with 26 and 22 points, respectively. Portis had a double-double, though the surprising contributor was first-round pick Sandro Mamukelashvili. The Seton Hall product had 8 points and 10 rebounds in 23 minutes off the bench.
With Giannis sidelined, the most logical pivots are to Khris Middleton ($7,200) and Jrue Holiday ($7,400) in tournaments. The Bucks should still keep this game competitive, so there isn’t much worry about a blowout for Toronto or something. Bobby Portis ($7,100) is also priced up and is a decent GPP play if you can fit him in there. Pat Connaughton ($5,100) and Grayson Allen ($4,500) also get a slight bump as value options with the Greek Freak out.
