The Buffalo Bills head into their Week 7 bye off a tough 34-31 loss to the Tennessee Titans, and the week off will be key for at least one player getting healthy. Tight end Dawson Knox broke a bone in his hand, according to Mike Garafolo. His timeline for return is TBD.

It’s unclear when exactly the injury occurred, but it did happen before Knox shot-putted this throw to Josh Allen to complete a two-point conversion attempt on the Bills version of Philly Special.

Fantasy football implications

2019 seventh round pick Tommy Sweeney is Knox’s backup and played 11 snaps to Knox’s 61 on Monday. Sweeney was only targeted once on the night, but converted it for a one-yard touchdown reception. We’ll see more of Sweeney in Week 8 if Knox is absent, but it’s all but certain the Bills will sign another tight end to at least provide some depth, if not become an outright starter during Knox’s absence.
