We go over the lines on DraftKings Sportsbook and pick out our favorite player prop bets you should consider for Warriors-Lakers.

The 2021-22 NBA season will officially begin on Tuesday night with two great games on TNT. One of those games will feature the Golden State Warriors taking on the Los Angeles Lakers at the Staples Center. These two teams played each other in the play-in tournament last year, where the Lakers won to take the seventh seed in the West.

Below we are going to take a look at some player props for Tuesday’s contest between these Western Conference foes. Odds are courtesy of DraftKings Sportsbook.

LeBron James under 24.5 points (-115)

Last season, the 36-year-old James had another solid season for the purple and gold. James filled up the stat sheet, averaging 25 points, 7.8 assists, and 7.7 rebounds in 33.4 minutes per game. The future Hall of Famer missed sometime late in the season due to an ankle injury, but he still managed to shoot 51.3% from the field and 36.5% from three-point range on 6.3 attempts per game. James will likely hit those numbers or be close this season with Anthony Davis and Westbrook playing by his side.

However, when it comes to Tuesday night’s opponent, James only averaged 20 points per game in three games last season against Golden State. In all three games, “The King” went under 24.5 points. We could see the same scenario play out in the season opener as he won’t be the point guard, but still will find ways to get his teammates involved.

Stephen Curry over 5.5 assists (+135)

For our last player prop for Tuesday’s season opener, we are going to roll with Stephen Curry over 5.5 assists. Usually, when it comes to Curry, the easiest prop to play would be either his points or three-pointers made. We know that the sharpshooter can go off at any time and put together an epic quarter of shooting.

Curry has also shown the ability to be a facilitator and get his teammates involved. Last season, the 33-year-old averaged 5.8 assists per game. In three games against the Lakers, he went over 5.5 assists twice. I like this prop more than Curry’s over 5.5 three-pointers made, which is juiced at -130 odds. If the Lakers decide to throw double teams toward Steph, he’ll easily be able to find one of his teammates.
