Best available quarterbacks on the Week 7 waiver wire

If you look at the bye week schedule for Week 7, you can start to see the quarterbacks managers will have to find replacements for. Josh Allen, Dak Prescott and Justin Herbert represent some of the top options at the position, while Kirk Cousins and Trevor Lawrence are viable streaming options. Here’s a look at the best waiver wire options at quarterback for Week 7.

Bye weeks: Bills, Cowboys, Jaguars, Vikings, Chargers, Steelers

Tua Tagovailoa, Miami Dolphins (25.3% in ESPN leagues)

Next up — Atlanta Falcons

Tagavailoa came back after three weeks on injured reserve and looked fine against the Jaguars. He now gets to go against an Atlanta defense which struggles against the pass. With one more week of practice under his belt, Tagovailoa is a strong option off the waiver wire.

Derek Carr, Las Vegas Raiders (47.4%)

Next up — Philadelphia Eagles

Even with Jon Gruden out, Carr continues to put up solid numbers for the Raiders. He had a great game against the Broncos and should be able to keep the successful run going against Philadelphia. The Eagles have been torched through the air routinely this season.

Teddy Bridgewater, Denver Broncos (16.9%)

Next up — Cleveland Browns

Bridgewater is going to be widely available, which raises his stock in a week that’s bound to be a headache for fantasy managers. There’s still some limitations to his fantasy game, largely due to the Broncos favoring the run game. However, he’ll do a serviceable job as a one-week replacement.

Ryan Tannehill, Tennessee Titans (64.3%)

Next up — Kansas City Chiefs

Tannehill may not be available in your league, especially if you’re in an arrangement with 12 or more teams. The Titans quarterback will get the Chiefs defense in Week 7, a unit who’s struggles are well documented this year. Tennessee leans on the ground game as well, but the play-action game is where Tannehill excels. Even one or two big shots to A.J. Brown or Julio Jones makes Tannehill worth starting.

Sam Darnold, Carolina Panthers (42.2%)

Next up — New York Giants

Darnold had a few off weeks in terms of fantasy production due to his rushing regression. He’s still on a great offense surrounded by exciting weapons and will now go up against a Giants defense which just got obliterated by the Rams. Darnold isn’t Matthew Stafford but he’s capable of delivering good numbers on a week where there’s going to be shortage of amazing options on the waiver wire.
