Derrick Henry’s TD run shows what a freak of nature he is [VIDEO]

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry decided enough was enough on Week 6 Monday Night Football. He took a handoff on the Titans 24 and appeared set to make a nice gain in the second quarter. Then he broke through the first line of the Bills defense, burst through a split in the secondary and was off. The 6’3, 247 pound running back flew down the field 76 yards for the touchdown.

Henry came into the Week 6 finale leading the league with 640 rushing yards and seven touchdowns. He came into Monday 117 yards ahead of Nick Chubb and 119 yards ahead of Ezekiel Elliott. Considering Zeke had already played a sixth game, that’s pretty crazy.

Henry has 84 rushing yards on five carries following that touchdown run. Barring something dramatic, he’ll likely get over 100 yards again and continue his march toward a potentially historic season. This will likely be his fifth straight 100-yard rushing game, and he will likely come out of the game on pace to break Eric Dickerson’s single-season rushing record (2,105). He’s going to have a 17th game to do it, but if he keeps up his current pace, he has a shot at breaking the record in 16 games.
