What to do with Derrick Henry in the Wild Card round of the 2021 NFL playoffs

We go over the fantasy football and DFS outlook of Derrick Henry ahead of the Titans Wild Card matchup against the Ravens in the 2021 NFL Playoffs.

Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry went over the 2,000-yard mark in the regular season, but he’s not done yet. If you’re deciding what to do with him in DFS or in a playoffs fantasy football league, here’s an overview of what to expect from him this weekend in the Titans’ Wild Card game.

Fantasy Football analysis: Titans RB Derrick Henry, $9,200

Henry put together another monster effort in Week 17, a thrilling 41-38 win over the Houston Texans. He carried the ball 34 times and gained 250 yards with a pair of touchdowns to finish the regular season at 2,027 yards on the ground.

Henry’s $9,200 price this weekend is the highest among running backs playing on Sunday, and it should be after what he’s been able to do all season long. Oddsmakers have Sunday’s game set to be the highest-scoring game according to the point total, so Henry should have another big-time performance against the Baltimore Ravens. He went for 133 yards with a touchdown on 28 carries against Baltimore in November.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

The price is steep so you may need to cheap at other positions if you want him as you’re running back, and for those in fantasy leagues that favor players whose teams advance in the postseason, I still like him in that scenario. Henry has proven he can take over in the playoffs, so he’s worth the risk this weekend.
