The Tampa Bay Buccaneers will play in their first playoff game since the 2007 season on Saturday and will host the Washington Football Team in the Wild Card Round. Kickoff is set for 8:15 p.m. ET and DraftKings will have Showdown contests available for the matchup.
Outside of the big names, who are some lower-tier value flex plays on both teams that could help you win this Wild Card game showdown on DraftKings? We’ve identified a couple of value plays worth considering for $5,000 or less that could be impact plays in this showdown.
Leonard Fournette, RB, Buccaneers (4,800)
Washington is no slouch on defense and has been pretty solid against the pass this season. The Football Team has given up the second-fewest passing yards and passing touchdowns in the NFL this year so Tampa Bay could be forced to rely on the run more than usual. While Ronald Jones ($7,200) appears to have taken over the RB1 spot but the Bucs are quick to switch things up and go with the hot hand. Fournette has a chance to outperform Jones and that alone makes him worth a look.
Cam Sims, WR, Washington ($4,400)
It’s not likely that any Washington running back will have a big game against the top run defense in the NFL but Sims has stepped up while Terry McLaurin has been dealing with an ankle injury. He’s tallied over 9 DKFP in two straight contests and could continue to get more work than usual if McLaurin is less than 100 percent on Saturday.
Dustin Hopkins, K, Washington ($3,600)
Hopkins has tallied double-digits in DKFP seven times in his last 10 games. Tampa Bay’s defensive line could make Washington settle on more than one occasion in the red zone and Hopkins has been consistently hitting chip shots.
