The Seattle Seahawks will enjoy home-field advantage in the 2021 wild-card round as they host the Los Angeles Rams at Lumen Field. This NFC West showdown in the first round of the 2021 NFL playoffs will take place Saturday, Jan. 9 with kickoff at 4:40 p.m. ET.
Ahead of their game, we take a look at the Seahawks' final injury report to see how these injuries may affect the team heading into their playoff matchup.
Seahawks final injury report
Questionable: Jarran Reed (oblique), Shaquill Griffin (hamstring)
Notable players on in-week report: Jamal Adams (shoulder, hand), Chris Carson (foot), Brandon Shell (ankle), K.J. Wright (ankle), Mike Iupati (neck)
How injuries could affect Rams vs. Seahawks matchup
Jamal Adams has dealt with his hand and shoulder issues for weeks without missing time, so his removal from the injury report comes as little surprise. Even before his status became official, he told local media that he had “no question in [his] mind” that he would suit up for Saturday’s matchup with the Los Angeles Rams. Conversely, linebacker K.J. Wright first popped up on the injury report this week, though he practiced in full for back-to-back days before coming off as well.
Shaquill Griffin’s injury presents more concern. Though he expects to play, any injury that might affect his ability to rotate presents some concern. The Seahawks already lost cornerback Quinton Dunbar to injured reserve, limiting the defense’s ability to absorb further losses.
