There are some solid options available for fantasy football among the running backs playing in this weekend’s Wild Card games. However, despite what might seem to be a real bargain, the Buffalo Bills’ two-headed backfield is probably best avoided for their game this Saturday against the Indianapolis Colts.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bills RBs Zack Moss ($4,600), Devin Singletary ($4,300)
In the regular season closer, Moss, usually the back with a slight edge in this rotation, had just three carries for eight yards. Singletary had seven yards on three carries. Moss’ best game in the back half of the season was an 81-yard, two-touchdown effort in Week 8. That was a season-high for yardage, which he matched in Week 15, but he’s only scored twice since then. Singletary has one touchdown since Week 4, and he’s only topped 80 rushing yards in a game twice this season.
The Colts have a pretty tough run defense too. They’ve only given up 10 rushing and four receiving touchdowns to running backs all season, and back are averaging just 3.7 yard per carry against them.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
It might be tempting to see their DraftKings salaries as a bargain addition to your lineup, but there’s just no ceiling to justify the expense, even at those prices. Moss is a little better option as an RB3 or Flex in traditional formats this week, but I think you can do better.
