What to do with Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown in the Wild Card round of the 2021 NFL playoffs

We go over the fantasy football and DFS outlook of Chris Godwin, Antonio Brown ahead of the Bucs Wild Card matchup against Washington in the 2021 NFL Playoffs.

Game day update: Evans “is going to do everything in his power” to play in Saturday’s game, but he remains a game-time decision, per James Palmer. If he is limited or can’t play, Palmer is hearing Antonio Brown will be a primary beneficiary.

The Buccaneers offense rolls into the postseason on fire, thanks in no small part to its speedy wide receivers Chris Godwin and Antonio Brown. Both players topped 130 yards and each scored twice in the final game of the regular season. Can they sustain that kind of momentum when in Saturday’s Wild Card game against Washington?

Fantasy Football analysis: Bucs WRs Chris Godwin ($7,000), Antonio Brown ($6,100)

With their two-touchdown performances last week, both players have scored four times in their last three games. However, Brown has a significant edge in targets, 33 to 24 over their last five outings on the field together.

Two different players have topped 100 receiving yards in a game against Washington over the last four weeks of the season, though they have only given up one receiving score to opposing receivers in that same time frame. But the Bucs’ passing game has been hard for anyone to stop lately.

Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation

Both are solid WR2 options in regular fantasy formats. I like Brown for his low price in DFS leagues this week, especially since he’s been getting more looks than Godwin for a month now. Another factor here is Mike Evans’ injury. It’d be a surprise if he didn’t play, but he could still be limited, opening more targets for Brown and Godwin.
