Despite some up and down weeks, Tampa Bay Buccaneers tight end Rob Gronkowski finished the season among the more productive tight ends in fantasy football. Though he had just two catches for 29 yards in the regular-season finale, he scored twice in the week before that. With a Wild Card game against Washington on the docket for Saturday, he’s again a solid option for fantasy lineups.
Fantasy Football analysis: Bucs TE Rob Gronkowski, $3,900
Gronk may not be the field-stretching weapon he used to be, but he has really made his impact this season as a big target in the red zone for Tom Brady. That’s resulted in seven touchdowns for the year. And his average of nearly five targets per game gives him a decent floor in most weeks that fantasy players can appreciate.
Washington’s hit or miss against tight ends. They’re ranked 20th against the position in DraftKings, and they’ve given up seven scores on the season to opposing players at the position.
Fantasy Start/Sit Recommendation
Gronk’s one of the better starting TE options this week. I like him in DFS play for his low price and scoring upside, especially if Mike Evans is out or hobbled.
