Saturday update: Kamara has been activated from the COVID-19 list, per Nick Underhill. He will play against the Bears.

The scheduling brains for the NFL did the New Orleans Saints a big favor by giving them a Sunday game for the Wild Card round. The extra day should allow running back Alvin Kamara to be taken off the COVID-19 list in time to play.

Kamara has been participating in practice remotely according to Adam Schefter. It appears they are going deep into the technology to keep Kamara in the loop and ready to go. As far as running backs go, Kamara and Derrick Henry are probably the most important to their team’s success each week. There will be no hesitation in starting Kamara despite getting no in-person practice time.

Kamara’s productivity on the ground and through the air has been great once again this season. He has rushed 187 times for 932 yards (5.0 ypc) and a whopping 16 touchdowns. He’s caught 83 passes for 756 yards and five more touchdowns.

Latavius Murray was also out last week due to being a close contact with Murray, but was activated on Wednesday and will play this week against the Bears.
